The Gods of Hinduism- VAYU DEV is known as the god
of air while the cow is designated as holy in Hinduism since arrival to
Aryan who basically brought/ spread the Vedic religion during the writing
period of Rig-Veda 1500 BCE.
Vāyu (Sanskrit वायु, Sanskrit pronunciation: [ʋaːju]) is a primary Hindu deity,
the lord of the winds, the father of Bhīma and the spiritual father of Hanuman
according to various scriptures. Second deity
which has become important all of sudden and makes constant headlines is the
Holy Cow. Millions of Hindus revere and
worship cows. Hinduism is
a religion that raises the status of any giver to the level of Goddess.
Therefore, the cow is considered a
sacred animal, as it provides us life sustaining milk. Not only that the
belief is that in cow’s body every god/goddess live, therefore to serve a cow
will sustain life, and perhaps earth too. Till this point everything remained
fine. However, the cow is given too much attention and the air is ignored- the
reason is simple.
Answers to ‘Why’?
The obsession of
protecting other gods like - Mother Earth, River goddess and the god of air etc
is ignored. The reason is simple- Religious minds will not get people from
other communities to kill if they pay attention to the purification the air.
Religious Sentiments are always right without any evidence.
The mob lynching has
been into wind and people killed people from other religious communities because
of a rumor that victims dared to eat beef.
Words of Caution- Indians are obsessed
with English even if they don't understand the meaning of it exactly. So to
threaten them you just need to say beef- they understand that the beef
means the cow meat. They don't understand and neither have a possibility to
understand that --Beef is the culinary name for meat from cattle, particularly
skeletal muscle. Humans have been eating beef since prehistoric times.
People are so
primitive due to religious sentiments that they deny simple plain respectable
truth and make people criminal among every religious community. Now animals
have a religion- The cow is Hindu, The goat is Muslim.
What does the law say?
Directive principles of state policy
protected cows- in 4th part of the Indian Constitution. Directive Principle
meant-- certain principles to government to rule. These principles are inspired
by Maharaja Gandhi where due to religious sentiments he wanted cow to be
protected. However, Gandhi was not harmful religious he was indeed one among
the great man and my inspiration.
So, government thinks
that because of curbing sale on cow it protected cows?
I went to villages of
UP and had chances of interacting with people. What did they tell me about it? All
the calves, bulls, and even cows were left open without any price and free into
jungles available for people who wanted to eat because they were not able to
bear expenses of it. Cow has low fat in milk and expensive in maintenance. After
government tightened the rules for cattle sale, what happened in practicality?
I wish that religious people do understand
that protecting cow did not help in reducing pollution, instead it made people
criminals who killed in the name of it. What is the point of those 33 Crores gods
who reside in the body of cow, they could not protect the cows either?
Air quality is
deteriorating and improving it will save more lives and the earth.
However, there will be less chances of killing in name of religion because
when it comes to pollution - all religious communities think that the water,
air and everything is forever granted to them by their god.
Note- Like terrorism, Mob lynching also has got nothing to do with religion.
